Are You From Here ?

Ever heard "are you from here?  Well, I was "from there" and as the economy fails and locals wonder what can be done...... a suggestion would be to have a positive change of local attitude.  If you are "from here",  you will be treated better than people that aren't "from there", unless of course, the people you know "from there" aren't the country club crowd, or related to the who's who of the local fish bowl.......One local visitor told me that the feeling they got was similar to the black / white issue in the south.....

Spin off play for profit

A company says it will spin off its international tobacco business to allow it to pursue cigarette sales more aggressively outside the U.S. by separating it from its American counterpart.
Philip Morris International has said it would rank as the biggest non-governmental cigarette maker in the world. The separation could shield Philip Morris International from U.S. legal and regulatory issues. Among those issues are pending legislation to give the Food and Drug Administration of authority to restrict tobacco advertising, regulate warning labels and remove hazardous ingredient.
