Trying to work my way out of a desperate situation. Does anyone know of someone who would be willing to give a short-term (3 month) loan with a boat title for collateral? The boat is worth twice what I need to borrow.
Unfortunately my debt to income ratio is too high for the bank to do it. My mortgage payments and Christmas are riding on this.
I really don't want to sell the boat outright because the lake and fishing are the only things that make this town worthwhile for my family right now. I will sell it if I have to....just hope it doesn't come to that.

A year after finishing 23-4 with an Iron Range Conference championship, the Broncos eye another memorable season
A good encore can do wonders for any performance.
The 2008-09 Broncos, who open the season tonight at Hibbing/Chisholm, are eyeing a memorable encore themselves after last year’s squad finished 23-4 with an Iron Range Conference championship.
The 23 victories were the most by a Falls team since the 1971-72 season, with the 2002-03 campaign coming the closest with 22 wins. Not even the state championship squad from the 1994-95 season (20-7-1) reached the 23-win mark.
Scoring at a premium with the departure of 1,000-point scorer Sherwood
The last time the Broncos played on their home court, Sam Sherwood became the sixth girls basketball player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
It was the second-to-last regular season game last year before the Falls went on to beat Blackduck in the regular-season finale and lose to Deer River in the opening round of the Section 7AA tournament.
Bronco boys hockey coach John Prettyman has a 64-68-1 all-time record in five years at the helm. However, he’s 39-15-0 over the past two seasons, including a 23-4 performance last year.
