Hello, Recent Forum PostsDefinition of a Snob:May 14, 2008 - 10:57am — Schmitty53Last night as I headed out for some peculiar reason I couldn't get the word "Snob" out of my "little head". It bothered me to the point I had to postpone heading out. Thinking about the word and it's meaning, I questioned myself on the possibility that my definition of the word could be wrong. Being of average intelligence unlike a snob, I was then forced to look up the definition just to see If my thinking was on track. Here's what I found. According to the on line dictionary I used, a snob is as follows. Snob: Junk TV and MeMay 13, 2008 - 4:47pm — Thomas L. JohnsonI'm heading out in a few minutes and am aware that the big agenda item at our house these days is the American Idol final three. Call me an elitist professor if you like, but I get sucked in every year and have my opinions: I would rank them from top to bottom -- David Cook; Syesha Mercado; Young Perry Como kak David Archuleta. The first two have found their voice and seem confident with that voice -- alternative rocker, broadway diva. Anytime FitnessMay 6, 2008 - 12:50am — adeightsevenAnybody heard we were getting one? Recent Blog PostsForget What Your Parents Taught YouMay 12, 2008 - 9:09am — Schmitty53That's right, forget what your parents taught you because according to the "GAY WAY" all heterosexual parents are wrong in the way they have and are raising their children today. It's the Gay agenda. Slip in through the back door using deception to get to the children. The real agenda behind schools' anti-bullying curriculum http://www.startribune.com/local/18846129.html boise shutdown... thumbs upMay 9, 2008 - 10:22pm — unionworkergirli think its really sad that all these guys that come up here to maintain our mill are even scared to go out anymore. They bring our town business during the slow months and They work their butts off everyday and im a witness of this being a boise shutdown worker. So what if they have a few beers after work and im pretty sure that they arent smoking whatever you wanna call it ...pot because they get random ****** tests. Tourists are our main attraction and this town wouldnt be here without them, so i strongly suggest you stop putting these hard working men down. Writers Group/ForumMay 8, 2008 - 9:49pm — EmilyjacindaI am looking to start a writers group that meets once a week or every other week. I am looking for 5-10 other people who would like to take part. Casual writers or pros are welcome! My idea for the group is that a topic would be chosen each week and read the next week. Or that we could read and provide constructive criticism for works already created. However neither of these ideas are carved in stone. We could meet at a restuarant or The Coffee Landing, or even outside during the summer! Please email me if you are interested in joining the group! Boise Refurbishes with Hungover CrewMay 7, 2008 - 11:41am — MongoInt’l Falls welcomes the Big Union guys currently refurbishing the Boise plant from stem to stern. For sure, local merchants get a well needed boost, especially the folks who sell booze. These boiler makers not only repair them by day, they drink them by night. “We work hard and we play hard,” slurred Daryl Pettibone (not his real name) as he staggered from his truck totin’ a half gallon of Wild Turkey from the front seat. “I’m back BOYS!” Spring In Northern MinnesotaMay 2, 2008 - 1:02pm — Anton1965The First Nations call it Ziigiwan, a time of renewal. This is true and its also the time to start the New Year. Many in the rest of the country think that the New Year starts on January 1st but actually the New Year starts in Northern Minnesota on about the first of April. Things that are now going on with fervor: |
