i think its really sad that all these guys that come up here to maintain our mill are even scared to go out anymore.They bring our town business during the slow months and They work their butts off everyday and im a witness of this being a boise shutdown worker. So what if they have a few beers after work and im pretty sure that they arent smoking whatever you wanna call it ...pot because they get random ****** tests. Tourists are our main attraction and this town wouldnt be here without them, so i strongly suggest you stop putting these hard working men down.

I am looking to start a writers group that meets once a week or every other week. I am looking for 5-10 other people who would like to take part. Casual writers or pros are welcome!

My idea for the group is that a topic would be chosen each week and read the next week. Or that we could read and provide constructive criticism for works already created. However neither of these ideas are carved in stone.

We could meet at a restuarant or The Coffee Landing, or even outside during the summer!

Int’l Falls welcomes the Big Union guys currently refurbishing the Boise plant from stem to stern. For sure, local merchants get a well needed boost, especially the folks who sell booze. Did I miss something - if I remember correctly, Mr. Trompeter was not in favor of the sewer project. Under those circumstances, why would you have Wade Pavleck and the Journal taking pictures and putting that in the paper? Seems it would only add insult to injury - - -

I was visiting with a couple of business people this morning and heard something interesting. It was such an insult to a local business, that we felt everyone should know about it.

Seems that our Chamber decided to order flowers for their banquet online and borrow containers from a local florist.

We have 3 floral shops in town and the Chamber had the nerve to order online instead of through one of our locals.

How do you feel about this insult??

So, I'm moving a couple of states away on Thursday and I wanted to have a blog where people could share their memories of me and Joe. Wish me luck, and take any parting shots you want.
