We have all watched the price of gas continue to climb and cause many changes in our way of life. We have all grumbled and complained. I personally don't like it and am watching how much I drive. This is the way it is for now and we have to live with it.

What I don't like is how the local gas stations deal with it. I don't have a problem with a station raising their price if their tanker load comes in higher; but I don't understand why when one station raises, they all do.

I was visiting with a couple of business people this morning and heard something interesting. It was such an insult to a local business, that we felt everyone should know about it.

Seems that our Chamber decided to order flowers for their banquet online and borrow containers from a local florist.

We have 3 floral shops in town and the Chamber had the nerve to order online instead of through one of our locals.

How do you feel about this insult??

Did anyone participate in Earth Hour on Saturday?? It wasn't promoted in this area with the exception of email. Maybe next year we can do better.

I think it is time for us to voice our opinion, without bashing anyone personally. We need to make our opinions known, keeping personalities out of the mix.
