Yeah, I'm bored too. Got off...
Back to page topYeah, I'm bored too. Got off work a couple of hours ago. Sittin in the house, don't want to go do anything because I have to be in bed early to be up again at 4 a.m. for another day to earn another dollar. Last kid who lived at home moved out of the house about 2 weeks ago so the silence is deafening in it's own way. My big dog is about as excited as I am today.
He's sleeping on the floor in the breeze blowing inside from the window. I'm so bored I might just vacuum for the sheer excitement of it. Not to mention the fact that it's one motor I can run that doesn't cost me 4 bucks a gallon. At least the dog might move then. National Geo's Taboo is on the T.V. in the background providing me with educational information on tribal rituals. Yep.Let the good times roll. Have a good one Doorsman.
Not bored at all. Just got...
Back to page topNot bored at all. Just got back from the Grand Rapids car show and flea market. What a great time! There were vendors as far away as Florida and Texas, people galore. That town is growing big time and is soooo friendly. BTW gas was 3.59.
I'm so bored I'm cutting out...
Back to page topI'm so bored I'm cutting out and sorting coupons from the Sunday paper for things I'll never buy !!
This was to inspire comment,...
Back to page topThis was to inspire comment, thats good but to be truthful when I hit the keys , I was bored. 66, Grand Rapids is a great town, lots of people and it is growing but not in the best way. Demographics show that the population is up but not the wage. It proves that many people are seasonal residents and with that comes the need for service related jobs, not that that is bad but again statistics show that the Grand Rapids areas wages are less than Koochiching county. I can't be specific where to find the facts other than to tell you to wait till Sept when stats are released for all cities and countys in the state,or call Kootasca in Rapids, they will have some info for you. My facts are mainly based on relatives who live and work there. Again, lots of things to do in that area but some of that ceases when the population decreases when the flakes start falling, and with that go the vendors. Still, I would like some of that action to happen here. By the way, I am so bored I am going to spend way too much money and go fishing. And in that spirit, gas should be $3.69 here if it is $3.59 in Rapids because it does cost between $300 and $400 plus to ship 5 to 10 thousand gallons of gas here, so yes we are a bit high but there is a reason to be a bit higher dan da range. Sorry to be so boring, have a good Sunday, remember, football is right around the corner.
I just got back from a visit...
Back to page topI just got back from a visit to New York City, and don't have time to be bored! That is an interesting and "disgusting" city! In fact if you look at the east coast of the USA, it kind of looks like someone holding their arm in the air, and right at where the "armpit" would be, is NYC!! It was 95 degrees, garbage in the streets and one million tourists. Once you got north of 50th street the stench began to fade away. You all are so lucky to live up there in God's country. Of course you have the stench of the mill, but the only tourist crowds are the ones lined up at the bridge. What a difference 40 years can make. By the way, what does Grand Rapids have that would attract so many "seasonal" visitors??
Lots of small and big lakes...
Back to page topLots of small and big lakes to build castles on. As the population gets older and dies out, the family sells and someone comes in and rips a nice house down and re-builds. That is and will start happening here. I agree with New York, god I can not imagine wanting to live in such a place, and the worst smell in town now is the sulphite ponds in the Fort. Boise actually is not all that bad now, so don't bash them for the smell, it is international in nature. Glad you are back in dixie? Saw Frank the other day, here is a hint, he was visiting his sister and I was at a relatives house which is close by, if that doesn't do it , nothing will.
Doorsman, Hmmmm, I know...
Back to page topDoorsman,
Hmmmm, I know where the Sheriff's sister lives, and I had a former brother-in-law who lived close by, so I would say possibly the solution to the puzzle, may begin with the letters, "Mi" or "Mc". Whoever, you are, I have nothing against you, but maybe my Brother?? I only know of a couple people who live in the "rich section" of town, so help a brother out!!
I know of only one person...
Back to page topI know of only one person with that prefix that lived on mortgage lane and I do believe he moved. My relatives name does not start with those letters and by the way, I hope you have nothing against me, I know your brother and have talked to him on many occasions, he is a nice guy.
Why is bologna circular...
Back to page topWhy is bologna circular while bread is square?
Because, Agent47, Sigmund...
Back to page topBecause, Agent47, Sigmund Freud wouldn't have it any other way. Cigars and bologna -- they have to be round as they are phallic replacements. Bread, on the other hand, is mom. I don't need to get any more graphic than I have, but I am sure that the psychiatrists of International Falls can help us all interpret these cultural symbols. And what an antidote to bordom that would be.
Ah-hah!! But, that wasn't...
Back to page topAh-hah!! But, that wasn't good enough, so some left wing PHD type, invented the hot dog and associated bun!! Had to bring these symbols up to speed, and keep up with the times! The thought of slicing one of these symbols, just so you can eat it on bread. Much easier to slip the weiner into a nice warm bun. Now that sounds like a "far right" invention!!
I have no idea what either...
Back to page topI have no idea what either of you are talking about now. So instead, here's a video of a bear riding a moped. Which is funny, because bears aren't supposed to ride mopeds!

The "far right" is too busy...
Back to page topThe "far right" is too busy with AIDS, SARS, anthrax, black lung, heroin, AMTRAK, fencing the borders, high oil prices ... to worry about creamed meat product in a gut casing.
