More than twice as many people die each year from smoking related illness than from AIDS, alcohol, motor vehicle, homicide, suicide, and drug-induced death COMBINED!

Excellent article!! Even though the "smokers" won't admit it. You didn't mention how the smokers drive up the health care costs. They really put a burden on the system, since most of them are probably getting free health care, because they don't work, and have to use "welfare" healthcare. But somehow they can afford to buy booze and cigarettes?? And probably go to casinos!! And speaking of drunk driving, I'll bet many more military people have died in drunk driving accidents in the past few years, than have died in Iraq!! But it's OK to let them die while driving drunk. The President probably made them drive drunk. Keep up the good work, klloyd!

I present to you a few things to think about: I believe in the end it will not be about GUN control but PEOPLE control. FEMA and our own troops will come in and "keep civil peace" for our OWN protection by removing guns and also people who try to make a stand.... Wake up America. Do your homework. Why is it the National gaurd seems to be in places controlling things that local law enforcement should be in control of handling? Why is funding being cut to communities to hire and have enough LOCAL(state) law enforcement staff in any given community yet that money is being funneled to other goverment "enforcements'(fedral)? I believe the goverment moves in to not only 'help' but to get us "use to their presense and a sense of false security" ie.. conditioning. Check out "Concentration camps in America (their are 800 at present) for whom? you decide (maybe for uncontrollable civilians)? Why is "the war on Drugs" money being used to fix up old prisons and closed army bases-- along with installing new large furnaces??(FOR WHAT) Yet none of this is reported on our news? More and more "chemtrails" linger above our heads (look up,those "lines" in the sky are not just from jets,(these white clouds linger all day and spread out). "A New world order" agenda Busch speaks of.. what is it all about DO YOU really know? It is comming. Do your own research! I challenge you to at the very least look these few things up on the internet so YOU can make an "informed" conclusion. Dont just post rude remarks, till you have looked and made a unbiased descision for yourself. After all I did state "I believe". What I have found to be true is many many others also feel this impending day comming very soon.

I believe in "medicating" nutcases first, and if they can't be controlled, then lock them up. Those white clouds that are lingering in the sky, could be marijuana clouds, ya think?? A new world order is starting in Iraq, and will spread throughout the world. God Bless George "Bush"!!

I carry a pistol in my truck AT ALL TIMES and have had to use it. Recently I had a guy run up to my truck (early in the AM) and start yelling, "open your door now". I calmly reached down and pulled out my gun and pointed it at him, and said "if you don't leave now, I will blow your lips off!!". He disappeared very quickly. Who knows what would have happened if I didn't have that pistol. As klloyd says, "one Nation under God", (and guns)!!

Well Tammy my point being in repling to your blog(which is at the bottom of each one)was that it could have been a not so good ending. Not knowing what was on the other side of the door and opening it to what --- another person or persons having their finger on a hair trigger and shooting first? Were they kicking the door in? Was 911 called after the incident and reported so this maybe prevented if there was something the desk clerk had going on? By the way I am for the right to bear arms. We even load our own shells and have a "varmint" gun hanging above the back door. One of the great things about writing here is that people can agree to disagee. So with all this being said Have A Great Day! I know I will.

When someone chooses to carry a weapon, that person has to be prepared to use it, as Don and roj2000 did, and to good effect. Fortunately, "displaying" it was sufficient for the miscreants (who are often desperate but not crazy enough to risk a case of lead poisoning in their belly) and these citizens did not have to go round and round with the police after defending themselves, as all too often a person who has exercised their right to defend themselves gets treated as a criminal themselves. We have a liberal media to thank for that, who seems to think it has enough law training to try cases via a newspaper or TV station, like that poor unfortunate who was accused of planting a bomb at the Olympic site in FL a number of yrs back...his life was pretty much ruined by over-zealous gun hating media types. It used to be you could shoot a person who had broken into your home, getting a pat on the back rather than stainless steel bracelets and public hounding by the press. It is good to know there are still like-minded people out there who take their freedoms serious enough to defend them. There are many cops who frown on citizens packing weapons, but as long as every citizen cannot be guaranteed safety 100% of the time by law enforcement, then the law of our country and the law of common sense dictates we defend our own...I am a ex-cop who has used a side-arm to defend my self or others and actually wish more people would have the guts to carry--but who accept the enormous responsibility of being able to take another's life as the situation dictates.
