All Class Reunion Reflections
July 2, 2007 - 2:14pm — Thomas L. Johnson
By Monday it's over and all we have left are memories. In other words, that's life. I really had no great excitement for the ACR this time around but went to the high school and laid down $30 anyhow. My opinion of the ACR's is that International Falls is a bit too big to do them the way they do in a smaller town where you have a program that everyone attends and a parade where each class does a float. So the big picture is always a bit disappointing.

The Dirty Dozen was AWESOME...
Back to page topThe Dirty Dozen was AWESOME on Saturday! Thank you Gordie for heading it up!
ACR wasn't too bad, all in all, it was nice to have a bit more traffic in town. I hope everyone went away with the same sentiment as yourself. :)
The "All Class Reunion"...
Back to page topThe "All Class Reunion" ranks right up there with one of the best times I have ever had. I sure want to thank every single person in the area who spent so much time and effort in bringing this much pleasure to all of us, it was truly a remarkable local event. I went to the "Wall" several times, the "Dirty Dozen" played as well or better then I remember, and I would have wanted to borrow a horn and try my lip except it never was as good as those bringing back those old hockey games all over again. I danced all night long with my seven year old daughter, my date for the night, and she is still talking about it. Thanks to all the old classmates for the recollections of times past, especially to those who came over to the house for a chat. I was envious of several who look as young and good as ever and put my old and tired body to shame. The cordiality of the many in town was great and typical of the "Falls" and is the greatest asset and reason for anybody to move back or to the area. You just can't beat the "ole" hometown folks who toil with pride to put such an event into reality. The entire city and county, all offices including the school should be commended for the remarkable effort. I must say, before I forget, that Mayor Mason and family should be especially congratulated for the splendid effort in helping to make our class reunions such a great success. I am looking to the next ACR with hope that our fine city will put on another great welcome as they did in 2007. That Quilt was really awesome and I sure would have liked to have it in my house as I am sure many others thought the same. Thanks again to all who made this possible.
