Back to page topWell, kay, the sale of Ely is merely a footnote in the framework of the sale of all of northern Minnesota to Ontario. It's kind of funny that you wouldn't hear about it. I mean, it's kind of like, "Hello? Did you get the memo?"
Um, for starters (cough), you can read the Daily Journal that reports on the sale like, every day, and then you might want to consider going to one of the many meetings in the courthouse that deal with the issue.
How a person couldn't have heard about this . . . man, I don't know. Look at the exchange rate if you're looking for a reason.

BREAKING NEWS-Ely Wed to...
Back to page topBREAKING NEWS-Ely Wed to Thunder Bay. The difficult negotiations between the Ontario and US government were finalized after much discussion this afternoon. The final agreement must be approved by both governments legislative branches but the deal has been reported as imminent. The Queen, when asked by the BBC on her thoughts, said "Long Live The Queen" and mentioned that while having heard of "Earl Grey",she had never heard of "Ely Tea" but welcomed the new addition to the Monarchy at any rate. It was also reported that a new border crossing to the Tower-Soudan area would be built as soon as details were worked out. Stay tuned for further information on this important news.
