Due to incorrect information provided The Journal, a story on the Mighty Mustangs on Page 14A of Thursday’s edition should have listed John Borger as a third place winner.

A recent story about the late John Bartkowski attributed the founding of the local Coca Cola Bottling to him. While Bartkowski was the founder and 60-year patriarch of a business that evolved to the currently known Coca Cola Bottling, he bought the franchise in 1948 from Emil Ratelle, according to reader William A. Murray of Coon Rapids.

The complete last sentence in the opening box on the Leisure page Thursday is: Keillor’s wife Margaret is from Littlefork (her father, Harold Louden, used to own Littlefork Lumber).

A story in Tuesday’s edition about the International Falls City Council contained incorrect information about a Burner Road proposal. The story should have said that Boise is willing to provide an easement for infrastructure to waterfront property owned by the city, in addition to providing a right-of-way for a road to a Foreign Trade Zone.
In addition, the city did not formally reject a request to change designation of state aid highway miles to allow the reroute of Highway 332 to move forward. Instead, it took no action on the request.

• A story in Monday’s paper about the Enhanced 911 system should have said the Littlefork City Council rescinded its motion after it approved to participate in the program.

A story in Tuesday’s edition contained incorrect information, according to the Koochiching County Soil and Water Conservation District staff. SWCD Technician Ryan Heinlein does not issue wetland restoration orders. The Department of Natural Resources issues cease and desist orders and then, if warranted, the SWCD is mandated by state law to develop a restoration plan which the DNR issues.

The article “Grey in the summer flower garden,” which ran Jan. 28 should have been credited to master gardener MaryLou Marchand.

The sports schedule incorrectly reported that tonight’s Broncos boys’ hockey game in Duluth was to be played at the DECC.
Tonight’s game will be played at Mars Lakeview Arena at the Marshall School at 7:30 p.m.

The Burner Road safety meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 30 in the chambers of the International Falls City Council in the Municipal Building.

• In the Jan. 7 edition on Lifestyle Page 6A, a Web site listed in the Seniors Legal Line article should have been www.equifax.com (then search for “security freeze.”)

• The Koochiching Economic Development Authority Board meeting has been changed due to a conflict with another meeting. The KEDA Board will meet at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 24.

Also, the Littlefork-Big Falls school board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
