It's sad that you didn't get the POINT of the article. Tolerance is not about diluting or changing your own beliefs, principles, or way-of-life because others have a different opinion. Tolerance is about allowing others to have opposing viewpoints. The witnesses believe unrepentant fornication is deserving of excommunication. But they do not FORCE non-witnesses to live by that principle. Tolerance is therefore limited to how they view those OUTSIDE their organization, not inside of it. Does Mcdonalds have the right to make sure their employees wear a uniform? yes. Are they tolerant if they force Burger King to adopt the same policy? no.

Dear Kind Hearted Readers,

Jehovah's Witnesses try, we are all imperfect, to let the Bible or Holy Scriptures be the authority by which they base their conduct in life in this world of confusion. So what does the Bible say about leading a life of homosexuality?

In Genesis the 19th chapter the men of Sodom who were trying to rape the materialized angels were struck with blindness by Jehovah God. Why? I would reason that it was because of disapproval of their conduct. You are certainly free to reason on that and other scriptures as you want to.

There are other references for any readers who would if interested could go to the following web site and intelligently use the search strip: http://watchtower.org & also take a look at the Index ~ http://www.watchtower.org/e/archives/index.htm. You also probably will have an opportunity to talk to one of Jehovah's Witnesses as they carry on a very public ministry and endeavour to speak with all in their assingned territories around the entire Earth. Here is what a Bible version says also about this issue:

“You will not have intercourse with a man as you would with a woman. This is a hateful thing,” states the Bible. (Leviticus 18:22, The New Jerusalem Bible)

Okay, I think it is fair to state that the majority of this world has written off the JW's as a bunch of fanatics.

While I believe they are a well intended bunch, the foundation of their faith is based on a delusional man who repeatedly attempted to predict the end of the world. Perhaps he was also well intended.

Nonetheless, respect them as you ought. Some members are vulnerable individuals who not only put their faith in God but also in a group of people who claim to have God's home phone number.

Faith can be a powerful instrument when it is a choice of free will. I question how free the choice is for many of these folks.
