Chas, S.C. You mean the humidity you can cut with a knife?? I suffer from May 15th to Sept 15th, just like the Falls does in the winter. But I love these warm winters! Someday, soon I will retire and maybe spend the summers up north in God's country! I know the "old oak tree" you're talking about (the Angel Oak, it's called). I remember when that tree was only known by a few people. It was the starting point for our drag races in our camaro's and firebirds. That was when I was a bad sailor boy!! Now I'm innocent! My wife's family owns a couple of those old historic houses down on the "Battery" waterfront"! If you're ever down this way again, look me up, and I'll buy you the best seafood dinner in the USA!! Gotta go, it's getting warm out, and I need to take my jacket off! LOL

Oh yeah - I miss the Texas temps, but not the desert itself. You are in Charleston right? NC? I was there in 2004 in July - really humid - but a beautiful town. Went to see the old oak tree on the island and just walked around the historic houses. Amazing history.

I've always known why she didn't throw him away, but I've never agreed with it. Staying with a cheating husband is degrading, in my opinion. Like it or not, she's a woman of power and she is capable of influencing a lot of people. By making the decision to stay with her husband, she sent the msg that it's OK to tolerate, and seemingly forgive, that sort of behavior and that msg is completely unacceptable. But, like most other politicians, she is only interested in furthering her own agenda and couldn't care less about the damaging message to American women.

2- And according to the "abortion lovers, until it comes out and starts crying, it is not a baby, therefore you can abort/kill it at any age (prior to birth). So, in theory, you were not pregnant, if you did not have a baby in your womb. Two things I've always told my children:
1- If you can't stand naked with the lights on, in front of the person that you love enough to have sex with, don't do it, you don't love them enough.
2- Once you pregnant (this is more towards girls), you will always have been pregnant once, no matter if you have/choose a miscarriage, abortion, adoption, or decide to raise the baby. Each time you go to the dr and are asked how many pregnancies, you will have to include that child.

There is a double standard for deadbeat mom's. When my grandchild's mother walked out it took six years for her to start paying child support. Her excuse... she had two more babies and couldn't work! Let's see a man try that excuse. She is now ordered to pay the state minimum weather she works or not. When it's convenient for her she sees her child. I give my son a high five for raising this child and doing such a terrific job.

Just another note, you can teach your kids all you want about sex, and they still make their own decisions. It's no one's fault but their own and they must face the consequences. I say give them all the birth control they want (or need) and save them a lifetime of heavy responsibility.
