Greetings and salutations

Greetings and salutations from Mongo's left brain hemishere. That Mongo fella that shares the othersde of this calcified cranium is an emotion dude who doesn't always represent my take on things. We have arguments at 3:15 in the morning when nobody can catch us. It's no good to be seen walking around talking out loud to one's self with two different vioces. At best, that tends to put folks off, worse is when they dial 911. "They're coming to take me away, ha-ha; they're coming to take me away, ho-ho . . . hee-hee, ha-ha, to the "happy farm" where . . .

Don't be surprised however, if I stick in my two-cents worth online. I have put up longggg enough with Mongo's rant's while I idle along waiting for 3:15 A.M. The way we figure it, this old body we abuse will get more sleep if we thrash things out online. This is just an inforam announcment in case anybody gets confused about ognoM/Mongo back and forths. Thank you for your understanding, that is all . . .

Somthing New to think

Somthing New to think about:

Great Big Stupid World

Well we worship at the shroud of Elvis
And we're waiting for that money from Ed McMahon
And we're drinking from the Perrier fountain of youth
While we follow what the daily horoscopes saying
Taking lethal doses of MTV
Delving into pet psychiatry
Trying to treat cancer with a fruit juice cure
And waiting for the Beatles reunion tour

'Cuz it's a great big stupid world
And we're feeling kinda queasy as it turns around
Great big stupid world
And we're never really sure if we're up or down
We're on a dirt clod out in space
Where it stops nobody knows
If Jesus came back today
They'd try to book him on the Oprah Winfrey show
'Cuz it's a great big stupid world
Great big stupid world

Well we're hot on the trail of Big Foot
And we're wearing the crystals to feel the power
We're hoping that the creatures from outer space
Come to set us free in that final hour
Trying to tell the future from the lumps on our heads
Getting melanoma from our tanning beds
Channeling Houdini with Shirley MacLaine
And trying to figure out what the dolphins are saying

CHORUS

Well it's a Great-Big-Stupid world
Dumb dumb da dumb dumb baby it's a stupid world
It's a great big stupid, great big stupid
Great big stupid world

Well we're studying the National Enquirer
Is it true Sonny Bono is the Anti-Christ
We debate if TV wrestling is really a sport
While we're testing rock 'n' roll and it's effect on mice
Bonding with our little computer screens
Getting anorexic on our Lean Cuisines
Turning plastic surgeons into millionaires
So everybody finally gets to look like Cher

It's a great big stupid world
And we're feeling kind of queasy as it turns around
Great big stupid world
And we're never really sure if we're up or down
It's a great... big... stupid world
Dumb dumb da dumb dumb baby it's a stupid world

TLJ,

VERY GOOD!!!! Agree, 95.5478%!! How about a McCain/Obama ticket?? I would go for that! Let Obama get some leadership experience and then when the time is right, jump into the "hot seat"!! McCain almost jumped ship to Kerry in 04, why couldn't Obama do the same this time? Obama would make a much better Republican or even independent! Something to think about, on a cold winter night!

Jackpine04,

I keep coming across this comment, and finally decided to make a small comment of my own. First you were servo, then Joespoon04, now Jackpine04. The Journal staff is so slow, they haven't made a link yet, unbelievable!! Let's see, you don't like my quotations, someone elses GOD, so on and so forth! But, you are right in the sense that my God is Fox News, but you are wrong in that I back down from any capable rhetorican, such as TLJ. He makes sense 99.9% of the time, and some of you are the other .01%. I tend to listen to TLJ's advice and buy my gas where it is not polluted. At least in my comments I "try" to be fair and balanced, and not one sided as you and your numerous alter ego's tend to be. But you are entertainment, and as such give us something to be somewhat amused by. Keep up the good work.

Ohh, okay Icesicle, I gotcha now. Yeah, I took it way the wrong way. Sorry about that. I never made the "Shaving Cream " song connection at all. Oh well. My reply was just an excercise. Well I'll save what I wrote in WordPerfect in case I ever REALLY need it. Funny how we were talking past each other and I didn't catch on. Miscommunication is the heart of 3/4's of the world's problems. Straightening it all out, is 100% of the healing process. Aloha

Whoooa there Mongo the Bearded (Laughing here) . First off let me clarify that I have nothing but great respect for those of the bearded persuasion. I actually prefer beards. Long hair too. The "shaving cream" line is from the song "Shaving Cream" from back in the day. Do you remember that song? I threw it out there to wander from the all consuming subject that preceded it. You had started out this thread with the song "Monster Mash", and I tossed out the line from "Shaving Cream" not for any type of insult or implication about you or your appearance. If you knew me you would know I would be the last to judge anyone based on their appearance. I appreciate each individuals uniqueness. Sorry you took it in a way I did not mean it. It was just a line form an old song. I would have responded sooner, but I was at work.
Later Mongo.

Agreed, Mongo. A beard is a sign not of carelessness, but of carefree-ness. I wear one, and I wear it without concern to the US magazine and People magazine-reading Hollywood hangers-on who can't get over the moment in infancy when adults clustered and fawned over them in their cribs. Carrying on into adolescence, those types tried faithfully to sit at the popular table for high school lunch. Now, they read tabloids in the supermarket line, hoping to once again be enraptured by the masses by way of shaving, having no opinions, and seeking out sedentary lifestyles.

Figured I'd throw in my opinion.

When I was 18, I grew my first beard. It was jet black and I was young. I liked it back then. Now I'm 61. My beard's white, but I still like my foliage. To be quaint, the face I choose to wear, should be none of your concern. But IT DOES concern you. How odd! How very odd indeed, that my beard concerns you sooooo much, that you just HAD to (actually) put it to me. To my mind, that's a pathological problem rearing it's ugliness from your side of my exterior. I mean, I don't even know you. If you were my dad, okay, you have the floor. But who are you, to tell me to shave? I mean look at you. That's not normal bud. Your attitude smacks of illness.

I left peer pressure behind when I was a lad. There-for, let it be known: " Hear ye, hear ye!" I'll not shave to please my peers. Neither will I shave for my non-peers. See, I don't care even one little ol' bit whether someone likes (or dislikes) how I present myself to the physical world. I do not care if someone likes (or dislikes) my mind. I do not care if nobody (at all) likes my persona. If how I look is offensive to you, that is not my problem. Look within yourself and seek out the reason you feel the way you do about beardedness. The answer always lies within, not out. It's a personal problem of yours, I assure you. My gut reaction guess, is that YOU have "hated" shaving for a good, long time. My guess, is that you don't feel clean unless you LOOK GOOD on the outside. That tells me sir, that (to yourself) you don't look so good on the inside. I have my problems and hangups like everyone else, however, I do not share THIS PROBLEMO.

I feel clean no matter what the mirror reflects back. Why? It's because I have nothing in my past that makes me feel unclean.

If I'm a mote in your eye, see a psychiatrist, rather than an optometrist. Discover why you feel unclean without the Norelco machine.

One thing can be said about living in New York City, nobody in Times Square, ever said to me, "GET A HAIRCUT." (I had extremely long hair at the time) Back then, in Manhattan, I swore I'd never live in a small town again. Why? You see, I had this misguided delusion that small town's breed small minds. Icesicle, please don't be the one that transforms an apparent delusion, into an apparent reality. Live, and let live, brother. Be well.

Hey six-shooter, In

Hey six-shooter, In reference to your incredulity over my memory being "Pretty sharp, pretty sharp." I went back to the old blog graveyard (accessible to everyone) and found what I needed (except for a single reply that's been pulled). It took me about 45 minutes to gather the frozen data, but it was all there.

Anything I write that's in "quotes" was cut and pasted first to Word Perfect and then re-cut and pasted to the reply that you find so very "sharp." It's all simple, computer 101 stuff.

I didn't say it was all done by my human memory. It was done via pc, binary memory. It was just research. Now, as to the part that was pulled, I remember that particular reply so well, because at the time, it made no sense to me. It seemed outrageous and untruthful. It did not sound like a 14 year old wrote it. It sounded like Joespoon04 did. That's why I can remember that particular reply. You see, it stuck not only in my craw, it's stuck in my memory. Believe it or not, just because, (to quote you) "I can't. even remember what I did yesterday," doesn't mean I can't.

I like you, six-shooter. I enjoy chawin' tobacco with you and especially like spittin' contests. I consider you a friend. It was fair to question my memory. If things had been reversed, I'd have done same.
'nough said on the above.

Now brother, don't forget to "spring forward" an hour before "sack-time."

Oh, I have to confess . . . everytime I time I pick up my Parkerized, 1911, I rely upon neither X-ray vision or memory to ascertain it's safe status. I "research" the dang thing.

Mongo, there were no negative real-world consequence of anything I did. In fact, it took young Jack to expose the truth of the "I'm better than you" stuff, since when you were dealing with a youngster, you automatically pulled the age/wisdom card and sluffed off the point Joe was making: that online arguments happen primarily because the arguers involved believe something about them is better than the same part in the other person. So, not only did it not affect the real world, but it made a better point than Joe could make alone. People argue because they feel their thoughts or their actions or their souls are better than the ones they fight. Why else do people argue?

Because you came up with the no-thread thread, I know you can understand that. You're a smart guy. You just don't like me and you don't like my take on certain things. Good luck with life, and stuff.

When Jackpine04 made his first appearance, it was in defense of something I'd replied to in a Joespoon04 back and forth. Suddenly this fellow we'd never heard of before, answers my reply to Joespoon04. He called himself Jackpine04 and I replied to his intrution between me and Joespoon by saying: "Joespoon04 is a big boy, why did he ask you to run interference for him? Why did you accept? You guys belong to the “04 Club,” right? I didn’t hire a referee. Don't need one. To become men, you guys should learn to fight your own battles and avoid other folks' business."

In reply (now pulled and forever lost) Jackpine04 told me he was not Joespoon04. He was "04" because the first 3 Jackpine's had already been taken. He went on by saying that he was a 14 year old boy who went to church every Sunday with his parents."

Jack/Joe-Pine/Spoon-04/04 (or) whoever you'll be next week: In your own words from above: "The DJ's rules have more to do with 'actionable misrepresentations' . . . bla, bla, bla"

Jack, I believe you are guilty of "actionable misrepresentations." I believe you have no place here at all and should be banned. The National Enquirer is a better spot for you. I should think you would fit in better there than here. Go there. Be Happy. God bless you and give us peace.
