This company has some real

This company has some real tuff times ahead. The current stock price of $2.47 from a $10.00 high reflects this - what the CEO doesn't talk about is the huge debt financing load to manage and the previous owners/equity holders penalty payment structure agreement if the stock price doesn't get to $11.00 + next year. Watch the institutional investors start to sell off their positions... I wouldn't surprised if the bear traders (shorters) are already at work. Best of luck Boise.....

I read your in-depth

I read your in-depth platform notes and I have to agree with outlaw. Working with local unions about incoming/potential businesses is a bit of a paradox (no pun intended).

There is no reasonable large employer that will open up shop in this town given its socialist/union mindset, especially if the mayor is pro-union. You cannot be pro-business and pro-union in the global economy. In the end, 100 $15/hr jobs with benefits is better for this community than 50 $30/hr jobs with benefits.

That said, I think you have some good points. Good luck.

Outlaw - thanks for the

Outlaw - thanks for the "Good Luck." I appreciate it.

I also appreciate your response - and respect your opinion.

I do want to clarify my topic, in regards to your objection though.

There is a big differance in my opinion between having an open working relationship with the unions in I. Falls - and being "in bed with them".

"Getting in bed with Unions" - sounds like I am going to be a puppet for the special interests of the local unions and only the local unions, and will not be looking out for anyone else but them. I can assure you that is not what I am here for, nor will that happen if I am elected Mayor.

BUT - As they do represent the majority of the full-time employment that exist in town - the Union Leadership and Union Members need to be included in the overall process for making a change in town. And as mayor I would work on that relationship, and hopefully make it stronger - with better open communication.

Again Outlaw - thank you for responding, I encourage you and any others to continue to communicate if you have any questions, or if there is an issue that matters to you, but hasn't been addressed on my website.

Thanks again.

Allen congrats on running for mayor. Only real point that i don't agree with is your "getting in bed with Unions" Unions are outdated and no longer needed, a union cannot protect a persons job and the Union mentality of International Falls has hurt a lot of major business from setting up shop in the falls. But even if you did get in bed with unions you cant really do anything worse then what mayor Shawn Mason has done to the falls, I kick myself almost every day for helping vote her into Office.

Good luck.

I don't think Mr. Kruse is breaking any of the Journals rules by using this format for his campaign. I don't know who he is but at least someone is running for mayor. Its not how much money you spend to get your message out its what the message is. If you don't want to read what he has to say don't click on this blog.

Doorsman,

Doorsman,

There is more coming - advertising/events/etc... - but going into detail in regards to those events does go past my willingness to do so on these forums, and will reserve them for advertising in the paper and other mediums - such as my website.

As stated before, tending to lean toward "D" - I also will be looking very closely to the McCain speech tonight, as I did last night to Gov. Palin's speech. Because what happens in our national election will effect all people of the U.S. including our small little town of Int'l Falls.

Thanks, full disclosure, but is there more? Elections are expensive are they not? I hope you have answers to everything. you may need it . And as far as the Master Chief goes, you will not receive freebies from him, I have not and I was related to him. Speak the truth and 65, Kay, TJ and 2000 along with the many, will set you free ,or set you afire. I, the moderate, am going to go listen to McCain, have a Wisers Rainy and listen to who I feel is the right choice.

Hey Doorsman - good to hear

Hey Doorsman - good to hear from you. As for the Master Chief, I would hope he knows by now that I would be offended if he treated me any differant than anyone else on this blog.

And challenge me all you like - all I have to give is my opinion and the truth in regards to factual information (if I know it).

At your request - here is about as much of "full disclosure" as I think I can give in regards to your question.

The ins and outs for the most part in regards to my website are thus:

I designed a page within Adobe Photoshop CS2 - to where the layout of the page would essentially be the same across each page. I then sent the images used and the .PSD file to a good friend of mine, Michael Morton. Mr. Morton is a computer programmer out of Phoenix, AZ - and worked with me when I owned my online media company. He then took my .PSD file - and "sliced" it up - created the appropriate Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and HTML code required for the website to operate properly - and then sent it back to me.

I then took it - and inputed all the content and adjusted any last minute tweaks to the code (which was limited because HTML is not my strong suit).

Mike charges between $75-100 / hour for any work he does on the side, and the work took less than two hours to do. He then donated his work - as "in kind" - and when I file my financial statement in the coming weeks, this will be listed on it.

----------------

I purchased the domain from GoDaddy - where I also host the site. The domain purchase and monthly hosting costs are being paid out of my own pocket and not from campaign contributions.

---------------

Again - if there is any other questions I can answer for you - please do not hesitate to ask.

~ Allen Kruse

I have to take Roj2000's advice here and continue with my stealth self for awhile, oh my god Allen, come on DJ, you are losing money on this guy, free advertising!!!!! Allen, don't pander to the Master Chief, even though he is proud of his service doesn't mean you won't get a Phalanx broadside if you are seen as manipulating the system, like you are. You chose this media, I didn't. I would rather waltz than do the twist any day, be it dance or politics. I will challenge you on this forum as long as the DJ feels it does not care about losing money for advertising. Who beside you did this web site, which is ok but smells of old NRA or Bush politics, not McCain's and is certainly not mainstream liberal platform structure. I know you are very capable in CHC type computer design, but who else is involved, of course you do not have to inform us, but oh, you are running for mayor are you not, full disclosure anyone.???

Probably quite a while ago I posted about this and wrote that Boise should get in on cellulosic ethanol research. I'm glad they may be involved in the project and believe they, and especially our state government, should push hard to get it. The jobs that would come with an ethanol plant would be exactly the kind the area needs. Meaning good paying full time jobs and not ones dependent on only tourism. Another thing is that this could strengthen the mill. Instead of dumping sludge if they could make a profit turning it into ethanol that would be huge. One caveat is water. Ethanol plants use a lot of water but are getting better at reuseing it. In any case this could be a great thing for the Falls.

Well Tom, I am glad you have

Well Tom, I am glad you have asked. The amount of land required will not be 500 to 1000 acres for sure. The little piece of land required, and not being used or utilized at the present time that would be almost perfectly suitable, would be the entire piece of land formerly known as the pulpwood storage yard. Should this piece of land not prove to be of sufficient size in 30 years or so, then another piece of land discussed below, could then be further developed for use.

This area has power, water and sewer, fiber optics and most importantly has railroad track access to the current railroad track system and has road access to boot. I understand that "some" in local government even want to build a new road from Hwy 332 to the immediate area of the area I have just mentioned. Boise does not want the land for their use or they would have by now expressed their interest in moving their woodland operation to that area and actually neither the city or county need the paper mills consent to just condemn the entire property as being in the best interests of both the city and the county. The property is now industrial so the cost to pay the paper mill should be a minimal cost as the property is obviously not of much use or value to anybody but for the "NEW FTZ" area.

There is another area a bit further southeast that encompasses greater acreage with "close" railroad access but not quite the utility improvements required but worth consideration especially if a developer has eyes on using the storage yard for a new subdivision to International Falls.

Roger that, but I still don't think its fair!! Also, you were almost correct on the acreage, you just had to drop one of the zeros.
