Doorsman 54----first of all

Doorsman 54----first of all the stupidity is not in the poll. It's just a poll. The stupidity lies in the "3 power brokers" that allowed this "tragic un-comedy"to go on. If they had all their ducks in a row they would have known this and all this time and money would never have been wasted. Wow this is what Boise has for a power broker and this is what we have for our county power brokers? What a tragic joke. By the way what is wrong in listening to any concerned citizen opinion (not fear) just as you have done here?

First of all it is a stupid

First of all it is a stupid poll because it seems the city should have never been involved in this process as MNDOT, the county and Mr. Anderson say the Burner Road is not the cities, it never was and it never will be, so why did the city have to be a partner in this tragic un-comedy(SP?), other than listening and reacting to concerned citizens and their fears? The city thought it had a role but it really doesn't other than rubber stamping the decision of the three mentioned real power brokers in this thread.

No arguement with the Twins

No arguement with the Twins being the best AAA team in the Majors. This is not a new problem for the Twins, remember players like Knoblauch who they sold to the Yankees and Pierzinski who went to the Giants and is now with my "favorite" team the White Sox. The Twins are nothing more than a glorified farm team who had a few good years and now that a new stadium is being built Pohlad can tighten up his already tight purse strings and count his billions while the Twins prepare to open the 2010 season in their new ball park with a sub .500 year. I cannot wait!

Joe,

No problem with the error, even people like roj2000 makes them!! I am not much of a Yankee fan so Santana with the Sox would be better, but you do have to agree that the Twins are the best Triple AAA club in the Majors. They simply can't keep their stars despite the promise of the new ball park in 2010. Keep up the good work!!

Norpole,

My bad, 25 million a year for six years, but it sounds like Ellsbury has become part of the mix with the sox so I figure Santana will start for the Red Sox on opening day and Jon Lester will get the start for the Twins.

Joe, you must have been in error or joking about the 6 year, $25 million deal. He would never sign for that and the union would be upset with him if he did. They are trying to make more money not less.

Your poll may be a bit

Your poll may be a bit misleading since you don't offer enough choices. My vote was for yes, but your poll forced me to say I don't use the road while in reality I DO use the road. I'm sure there are people out there who would also vote no and Don't use the road. You should have just left the choices as Yes, No and Maybe, I need more info.

Have ideas about where it

Have ideas about where it might go? Here is a place to post them. Suppose nobody wants to move it from the library? Then there would be no point in coming up with ideas on where. In any case, the more ideas posted here, the better.

A vote on re-locating the

A vote on re-locating the Iltis statue without knowing yet "where" the new location might be is not appropriate. Conducting a vote with options on where to go might prevent another controversy like that generated with the "vote" on Ice Box Days. The artifact is at a location now that protects it and might be just fine except for the fact it has limited view. For instance, the statue would be just fine at my house if you vote to move it, but those that so voted would not know that my house was where it was going. Lets put some more thought into this before we embark on this journey down a one way street.
