Evelyn Wagness died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Falls Good Samaritan Center.
A complete obituary and time of services will be published when arrangements have been completed.

Corrine Ann Christianson, International Falls, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth.
She was born Aug. 18, 1936, to Milo and Nellie (Bly) Peterson.
The former Corrine Peterson married Harold Christianson April 5, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church, International Falls.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed making baby quilts, doing crafts with her grandchildren, tapping maple trees for syrup, and fishing.

George Edward Englund, International Falls, Minn., passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Falls Good Samaritan Center. He was 90 years of age.
A caring husband, father, grandfather and brother, George was born in Mahoning Location, a suburb of Hibbing, Minn., on Feb. 21, 1918 to Nels Oscar and Ida (Gref) Englund. Nels had emigrated from Jamtland, Sweden, and Ida from Vasa, Finland.

Melvin Peter Loff, 87, of Grand Rapids, Minn., formerly of Blackduck, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, with the Rev. George Gilbertson officiating.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery Longville, Minn., with full military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 772 Longville.
He was born June 29, 1920, in Brainerd, Minn., the son of Peter Gustav and Emma (Mathais) Loff.

It is with deep sadness and great sorrow that the family of Delores “Dolly” Roach announces her passing on Monday, May 12, 2008, with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with long-term health issues.
Dolly was born Nov. 1, 1934 (All Saints Day) at Couchiching First Nation.
She was united in marriage to Milton Patrick Roach and together they raised their loving family.
Much of our mother’s strength came from the endurance of the many losses that she suffered.

With his family by his side, Lester Fred Kruse, age 83, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at St. Mary’s, Duluth.
Lester was born Aug. 26, 1924 in Mankato, Minn., and grew up on a farm near St Clair, Minn.
He joined the U.S. Army training at Camp Hood Texas in August of 1944. He served in the Philippines with the 869th Ord Ham Company as Skipper of a PT Boat and Mechanic in Manila Bay from 1945 to 1946.
He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Philippine Independence Ribbon.

Robert “Bob” Youso, 75, Moose Lake, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
He was born in International Falls on April 18, 1933 to Frank and Mary Youso. Bob attended St. Thomas Elementary and later graduated in 1951 from Falls High School where he played football and basketball.
He entered the Navy where he served from 1951 until 1955 and was a Korean War Veteran stationed Okinawa, Japan.

Ruby G. (McFarlane) Burnell, International Falls, Minn., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at her home at the age of 86.
Ruby was born Oct. 12, 1921 in Edrans, Manitoba, Canada to Alex and Cora (Lintott) McFarlane. She grew up in Badger, Minn., and was united in marriage to John Ross Burnell Sr. on Nov. 9, 1940.

Margo Ann Hell, 54, of Littlefork, Minn., died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn.
Margo was born July 31, 1953 in Littlefork, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Littlefork High School in 1970.
Formerly Margo Berg, she was united in marriage to Terry Hell on May 27, 1988 in International Falls, Minn.

Wayne “Bags” Carle Haglund, of International Falls, Minn., died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Falls Good Samaritan Center. He was 88 years of age.
He was born Jan. 25, 1920 to Claire and Edward Haglund, of International Falls.
Wayne graduated from Falls High School in 1938 and went on to graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1943. He then joined the Marine Corps and was stationed at the Guadalajara Canal, where he was injured when a Jeep rolled over him and broke his back. Following his honorable discharge from the Marines, Wayne returned to the Falls.
