KOOTASCA office
The KOOTASCA Office will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Anyone with an emergency should call First Call For Help at 1-800-442-8565. Regular business hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Car wash
The Bronco boys baseball team will conduct a car wash from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Waschke Family GM Center, Highway 53.

Volunteer hair
setters
The beauty shop at the Good Samaritan Society nursing home has openings for volunteer hair setters. Groups of all ages, families, organizations and individuals are encouraged to find out about this and other volunteer opportunities at the center. Call Rebecca Carlson, volunteer coordinator, at 283-8313, ext. 124 to find out how sharing your gifts, talents and time can make a difference in peoples’ lives.

Retired electricians
All husbands and wives of retired Boise Cascade electricians will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barney’s Family Restaurant.

Moose events
The Moose Lodge will be closed Monday, Labor Day A spaghetti supper will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and Texas Hold ‘Em will begin at 7.

Community Market
Backus Community Market continues Saturday, rain or shine, from 8 to 11 a.m. in the AB Third Street parking lot. Fresh produce, baked goods, handmade and specialty products by local artisans and vendors are featured. Backus will provide coffee and bars. The public is encouraged to attend. Interested vendors may contact the Backus office at 285-7225.

Breast cancer
support group
The breast cancer support group will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the lower level conference room at Forestland School.

Men’s breakfast
St. Paul Lutheran Church men will gather for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barney’s Family Restaurant.

Car club
