Women of the Moose
The Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Moose Club downstairs clubrooms to make plans for the Sunday picnic at Smokey Bear Park and to plan a rummage sale table for Crazy Days.
Pain management group
Guest speaker at the Chronic Pain Management Support Group meeting set for 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room at the Duluth Clinic-International Falls, is Kathie Henrickson RN/CNP. She will present “Chronic Pain and the Use of Injections to Control Pain.” Meetings are free and refreshments available. People with chronic pain, caregivers, family and friends are encouraged to attend. Meetings are the second and the fourth Tuesday of the month, from 1 to 3. Aluminum can drive
The Bronco Volleyball Aluminum Can Drive is now underway and will run through October. The can trailer can be found in the Dairy Queen parking lot.
Fifty-Five Plus
Evangelical Covenant Church Fifty-Five Plus will meet at 6 p.m. tonight. Grilled burgers, buns and condiments will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring beans, salads and desserts. A Sing-A-Long with Ted Francis will follow. Everyone is welcome.
‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.
Phone recycling
Borderland Humane Society is currently participating in a cell phone recycling program. By recycling old cell phones, the humane society can receive money for the old phones, with all proceeds going to BHS. The community is urged to help by donating phones to help animals in need. Phones may be dropped off at The Daily Journal, Radio Shack or K-104/KGHS Radio Station. Anyone with questions may call 218-324-2313.
Airport commission
The International Falls-Koochiching County Airport Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the conference room at the offices of Einarson Flying Service Inc., located at Falls International Airport.
ElderCircle RSVP
ElderCircle, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the KOOTASCA building, 2232 Second Ave. E.
The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Open horseshoes
Men, women and teenagers are welcome to play open horseshoes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kerry Park. No experience is necessary.

The following support groups will not meet in June, July or August: breast cancer, cardiac, macular degeneration and gastric bypass.
Elks meal
The Elks Lodge Wednesday Meal will be Rainy Lake shore lunch, fried potatoes, onion sandwich. Serving will begin at 6:30 p.m. Call early for reservations, 283-3440.

Clothes Closet
The Community Clothes Closet will be accepting drop offs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aquinas Hall, 410 Fifth St. The Closet will be open from 10 to 4 Thursday.
Christmas in July
First Lutheran Church Women’s 35th Annual Christmas in July Bazaar & Luncheon is planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The luncheon will begin at 11. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. The public is welcome to attend.
Moose supper
Hot pork sandwiches will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.
