Teen Gaming
Teen Gaming at the Library is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Any teens welcome to come and spend time playing games, electronic and other. Bring a friend and challenge one another to a game. Refreshments provided. Any teen in grade 7 and above welcome. No registration necessary.
Diabetes screening
The International Falls Lions Club and Koochiching County Health Department will sponsor diabetes and blood pressure screening 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Backus, Room 110. Screening is free and open to the public.
Kabetogama bazaar
The Annual Kabetogama United Methodist Church Bazaar is planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Featured will be baked goods, crafts and lunch consisting of sloppy joes or hot dogs, salads, baked beans, and homemade pies. The public is welcome to attend
Homebuyer workshop
A Homebuyer Workshop is slated for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 16 at KOOTASCA Community Action, 2232 Second Ave. E. Topics include: Qualifying for a Mortgage/Loan Programs, Budgeting/Credit Issues/Saving, Shopping for a Home/Realtor Services, Professional Inspections/Appraisals, Closing/Title Insurance/Homeowners Insurance, Financial Responsibilities as a Homeowner. Motorcycle training
New motorcycle rider training will be offered at Rainy River Community College July 10 (evening), 11 and 12. Training is for novice riders and training motorcycles are provided in partnership with the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center. Participants who obtain their motorcycle permit prior to the course can take the skills test and obtain their motorcycle endorsement at the end of the class. Cost for the 14.5 hour training is $160. Customer service workshop
Rainy River Community College will provide a Customer Service Workshop from 8 a.m. to noon July 15. Participants will learn how to provide the kind of customer service that builds loyalty and drives business performance. This fast-paced, interactive workshop is for frontline workers and their supervisors. Co-sponsored by the RRCC Foundation and Chamber of Commerce, cost is $29. Registration is limited. Food packages
Pick up for MAC and NAPS food packages will be available at the KOOTASCA office, 2232 Second Ave. E., from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday. Anyone unable to pick up their box should arrange for someone else to pick it up. For more information, call 283-9491.
Figure skating club
International Falls Figure Skating Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Voyageurs National Park headquarters.
Sportsman’s association
Koochiching Sportsman’s Association will gather for the summer meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Gazebo. A potluck picnic will follow.
Ericsburg Daze
The Ericsburg Daze Picnic Planning Committee will meet at noon Tuesday at Lu’s Place in Ericsburg.
