Women of the Moose
The Women of the Moose will serve sloppy joes, hot dogs and brats from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the Moose Club.
Arrowhead Bookmobile

Garden club
Koochiching Men’s Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Orin Simon, 920 15th St.
‘Free Indeed’
concert
Citizens for Backus/AB will sponsor a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium of the Backus Community Center. Performing will be "Free Indeed," a three-generation family gospel group from Bemidji, and Katie Ray, 13-year-old vocalist from Osseo, who has appeared in concert in Nashville. Music will include country/bluegrass, gospel, contemporary country and pop. The concert is a benefit for Multiple Sclerosis. Admission at the door is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Class of 1973
Falls High School Class of 1973 will get together at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sha~Sha Resort. Classmates are asked to bring a lawnchair or two and to pass on the information.

A Build-Your-Own Burgers supper is planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.
‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.
The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Open horseshoes
Men, women and teenagers are welcome to play open horseshoes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kerry Park. No experience is necessary.
No support groups
The following support groups will not meet in June, July or August: breast cancer, cardiac, macular degeneration and gastric bypass.
No soup supper
There will be no “First Thursday” Soup Supper at Backus Community Center Thursday. Soup suppers will resume Aug. 7.
Elks meal
The Elks Lodge Wednesday Meal set for 6:30 p.m. will be assorted summer salads and meats. Call early for reservations at 283-3440.

Falls High School Class of 1948 is planning a brunch for 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Barney’s Family Restaurant Banquet Room. Classmates are encouraged to bring their spouse and/or friend and join in for the 60-year anniversary.
