Women of the Moose
The Women of the Moose will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the downstairs clubrooms. Plans will be made for the annual potluck Christmas party set for 2 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Moose clubrooms. A Christmas ornament exchange will be featured.
Poster session
The Environmental Science class welcomes the public to a poster session with a theme of Local Environmental Issues from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Rainy River Community College, Science 112.Students have been working in groups to collect information about the following topics through government agency Web sites and interviews with local “experts”: Wildlife Management, Forestry, Hunting and Fishing, Pesticides and Fertilizers, Hazardous Waste, Pollution Control at Boise, Alternative Energy, Invasive Species, Drinking Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment. Half of the groups will be available to answer questions about their posters from 9:15 to 10:3 a.m. and the other half will be available from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. Snacks and lemonade will be provided.
Class of 1941
Falls High School Class of 1941 will meet for a noon luncheon Wednesday at the Holiday Inn.
Medicare Part D
Karen Tveit, Senior Outreach Specialist for the SHIP Program/Senior Linkage Line, will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Kmart Pharmacy area to answer questions about Medicare Part D drug plans and to help patients get enrolled in a drug plan for the 2009 plan year.
Saddle club
Rainy River Riders Saddle Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rainy River Community College, Room H-118.
Quilters guild
Northern Lights Quilters Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight at First Lutheran Church. Guests are welcome. Bring Show & Tell items. A demonstration of watercolor quilting will be presented. For information, call Deb Landmark at 283-3547.

The Community Education Winter Newsletter with new class listings is now available. Offerings include courses for youth and adults. Call Community Education at 283-2571, ext. 186, to receive a copy. The newsletter can be mailed directly or stop by the office at 1515 11th St. (door No. 5 of Falls High School). Retired Boise Cascade electricians will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday for breakfast at Barney’s Family Restaurant.
Fifty-Five potluck
A Fifty-Five Plus Potluck is planned for 6 p.m. tonight at Evangelical Covenant Church, 1631 First Ave. E. A Ken Davis video, a story of Jonah, entitled “Second Chances,” will be shown. Everyone is welcome.
Bingo
Persons 18 and older are welcome to play Bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at Koochiching County Senior Center.
‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.
The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.
New Creation Singers
The New Creation Singers will be featured at 7 p.m. nightly Wednesday through Sunday at the Christian Life Chapel. The family serve as a ministry team under Gospel Express Ministries and focus primarily on prison ministry in the eastern half of the United States. Everyone is welcome.
‘What about me?
An on-going support group for partners of survivors of sexual abuse victims will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Brad Kokesh. Elks supper
The Elks Lodge Wednesday Meal will be wild rice meatballs. Serving begins at 6:30 p.m. Call early for reservations at 283-3440.
Clothes closet
The Community Clothes Closet will be open for drop offs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aquinas Hall, 810 Fifth St. The Closet will be open from 10 to 4 Thursday.
Religious education classes
St. Thomas Aquinas Church Religious Education classes are set for Wednesday with First Reconciliation from 6 to 7 p.m. and Confirmation, grades 7-11, from 7 to 8:15.
Moose supper
A Chicken ala King Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.
