Moose Women
The Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the downstairs clubrooms.

Voter Drive
Falls High School seniors may register to vote during second and third lunches Wednesday at the concession booth. Bring legal identification and Social Security Number.

Religious Education
Religious Education Mass and registration for First Reconciliation and Confirmation Grades 2 and 7-11 is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

AARP chapter
AARP Ice Box of the North Chapter will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Koochiching County Senior Center. A program will be presented and refreshments served. All interested persons are welcome.

Car club
The International Early Iron Car Club will meet Tuesday. New members are welcome. Call Leon at 283-9773 or Sandy, 807-274-2345, for more information.

Scouting for Food
Cub Scout Pack 145 along with Boy Scout Troops 145 and 150 will collect food for the local Falls Hunger Coalition Sunday. Homeowners are asked to have a bag of nonperishable food items near their front entrance or mailbox by 1 p.m. Monetary donations are also accepted. Make checks payable to Falls Hunger Coalition. Items most needed are canned fruit, canned juice, canned meat and canned meals. If donation has not been collected by 5, call 283-8020 and leave a message.

Parents night
All parents and family members of the Girls Varsity Bronco Volleyball team are welcome to Parents Night Tuesday at Falls High School. Senior team members and parents will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served for all players and their parents in the cafeteria following the Varsity game. The Varsity game begins at 7, for the first round of the IRC Volleyball Tournament match against Grand Rapids.

Garden club
Koochiching Men’s Garden Club will gather for their annual election of officers Tuesday at the Holiday Inn. Happy hour begins at 6 p.m. Guest speaker will be Bob Hilke.

Bingo
Persons 18 and older are welcome to play Bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at Koochiching County Senior Center.

‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.

The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Open horseshoes
Men, women and teenagers are welcome to play open horseshoes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kerry Park. No experience is necessary.

‘What about me?
An on-going support group for partners of survivors of sexual abuse victims will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Brad Kokesh. A light meal will be provided at the beginning of each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Aquinas Bingo
Aquinas Night Bingo will begin Thursday and is sponsored by St. Thomas School Lic. No. 01336.

Sandwich supper
The Moose Lodge will serve a Chicken Breast Sandwiches Supper at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the lodge.

Degree of Honor
Degree of Honor members will gather at 7 p.m. tonight in Room 110 at Backus Community Center.

Teacher conferences
Falls High School teachers will be available for Parent-Teacher Conferences between the hours of 5 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Women’s workshop
The 11th annual “Take Charge — It’s Your Life! A Women’s Wellness Workshop,” will be conducted Thursday at Backus Auditorium. Barbara McAfee will present on “Who You Gonna Be While You Do What You Do?” Registration is from 6 to 6:30 p.m. There is no charge. Everyone is welcome.

Clothes Closet
The Community Clothes Closet will accept drop offs (winter clothing only) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aquinas Hall, 510 Fifth St. The Closet will be open from 10 to 4 Thursday.

After Loss Group
The After Loss Supper Group will meet at The Fish and Chips in Fort Frances, located across from the Post Office, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Members should meet behind City Drug at 5 to car pool.

Teen Gaming
Teen Gaming will be featured from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Falls Public Library. Teens in grades 7 and above are welcome to hang out with friends and play games like Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Mario Super Strikers and more. No registration is necessary.

FHS Yearbooks
Reservations will again be taken for 2008-09 Falls High School Yearbooks during the week of Oct. 27-31 in the concession booth during all three lunches. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a copy of a non-personalized book. In order to be guaranteed a yearbook in May, books must be pre-ordered.

Diabetes association
The Rainy River Chapter of the American Diabetes Association will not meet Tuesday. Members are encouraged to attend the Women’s Wellness Workshop Thursday at Backus. Reminders are to get a flu shot, and of the Diabetes Expo Saturday at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
