All Souls Day
On Monday, All Souls Day, St. Thomas Church will feature a 6 p.m. Mass followed by a soup supper and fellowship. All are welcome to attend. St. Thomas and St. Columban parishioners who have died since November of 2008 will be remembered by name as a candle is lit in their honor. 

First Aid/CPR
A First-Aid and Infant/Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Class will be taught from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7 at Falls High School by Amy Amundsen.  Cost is $50 per participant. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Call Community Education at 283-2571, ext. 186, to register.

Concert bus
The Veterans of Foreign Wars’-sponsored bus to Friday’s Border Concert at Backus Auditorium will pick up at: Hampton Court at 6:35 p.m., West Falls Estates and Robb-Ross at 6:40, River’s Edge Villa at 6:45 and Woodland at 6:50. The second Border Concert of the season will feature tenor “Robert Robinson,” who was named “Minnesota’s Master Male Vocalist.” Also, the “Top the Tater” dinner begins at 4:30 at Backus.

Drug plan counseling
Open enrollment period for Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans begins Nov. 15 and goes through Dec. 31. Karen Tveit of the local Area Agency on Aging staff and volunteers are available to answer questions and provide assistance with comparing, switching, enrolling and dis-enrolling from Medicare Part D Plans. Call 285-9156 to schedule an appointment for assistance.

Bookmobile schedule
The Arrowhead Library System Bookmobile will make the following stops today: Orr, Lakeview Baptist Church, noon-1 p.m.; Ash Lake, Public Access, 1:30-2; Kabetogama Community Center, 2:30-3; and Woodland Inn, Ray, 3:45- 4:15. Friday, stops will be at Littlefork Medical Center, 9:30-10; Big Falls, Sunview Apartments, 10:40-11:20; Gemmell, Country Sampler, 12:30-1 p.m.; Mizpah Post Office, 1:15-1:45; and Northome Post Office, 2:15-3.
