Quilt guild
Whispering Pines Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Family Life Center of Evangelical Covenant Church. Quilters are reminded to wear a nametag, bring a fat quarter of striped fabric for the drawing and two of the blocks demonstrated last month if wish to take part in the block exchange drawing. Show and Tell items are always welcome. All area quilters of any level of experience are welcome.

Driving course
A four-hour refresher defensive driving course for drivers age 55 and older that have already had the eight-hour defensive driving course is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3. Those who want to continue receiving the insurance discount should take the class, to be led by instructor Mike Flatley at Rainy River Community College. Bookmobile schedule
The Arrowhead Library System Bookmobile will be at the follow stops Thursday: Orr, Lakeview Baptist Church, noon-1 p.m.; Ash Lake, Public Access, 1:30-2; Kabetogama Community Center, 2:30-3; and Woodland Inn, Ray, 3:45-4:15. Stops planned for Friday are: Littlefork Medical Center, 9:30-10 a.m.; Sunview Apartments, Big Falls, 10:40-11:20; Country Sampler, Gemmell, 12:30-1 p.m.; Mizpah Post Office, 1:15-1:45; and Northome Post Office, 2:15-3.
