Bible school offers more than classroom

First Baptist Church hosted the "Son Harvest County Fair" Vacation Bible School last week. More than 50 children came each night to hear stories, play games, have snacks and learn about Jesus.
The week was topped off with a giant fair, complete with carnival games, a bouncing castle and horse rides.
Workers transformed the garage into a barn backdrop for opening sessions each night. The kids did nightly crafts including making strawberry jam. The final night featured horses, rabbits, ducks and chickens.
Games were fair standards like ring toss and darts plus more creative games like ladder golf and "watermelon" bowling.
