New Interim Pastor at First Lutheran Church in International Falls and Bethany, Loman, is Glenn Leaf. He has served as an Interim Pastor for about 20 years, serving congregations in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida.
He is a graduate of Augustana Seminary in Rock Island, Illinois (now the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago), and Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter. Following Seminary, he served three parishes in Illinois before returning to his home state to serve Calvary Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. In 1980 he was named the Urban Mission Director of the Minnesota Synod of the Lutheran Church in America.
As Interim Pastor, he has served as president of the Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors for Region III (Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota), president of the National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors, on the governing board of the Interim Ministry Network, and was involved in developing the training for Lutheran Interim Pastors at Luther Seminary in St. Paul.
His wife, Patricia Lundeen, is a church musician and has served Minnesota churches in Edina, Bloomington, Winona and Baxter. She is currently working as a freelance author, proofreader, teacher and substitute organist.
Their permanent home is in Breezy Point. Their blended family includes six children who are located in Houston, Texas, Philadelphia, Pa., Winona and Minneapolis, and at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. They will reside in International Falls until First and Bethany Lutheran Churches extend a call to a new pastor.
