The International Falls City Council Monday is scheduled to hear an update on an effort to develop a comprehensive wetlands management plan.
The council meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at the Falls Municipal Building.
Dave Serrano, of Arro of the North LLC, will discuss the plan with the council.
In July, Arro of the North was selected to develop the plan, which will serve as the basis for policy decisions about future development within the city limits. It will also identify areas that could potentially be used as credits when development within the city has disrupted wetlands. The city has received a $30,000 grant from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources and the Department of Natural Resources to be used toward completion of the plan.
In other business Monday, the council is scheduled to hear a wrap-up of the season from City Beach Committee members Linda Torseth and Diane Hebner.
