The Independence Party of Minnesota will hold its caucus Tuesday. Voters who wish to participate in that party’s caucus will have two ways to get involved.
Precinct caucuses will be held throughout the state at 7 p.m. Residents of Koochiching County, along with voters from Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Crow Wing, Itasca, Lake of the Woods and Morrison counties, can attend the Independence Party caucus at Billy’s at Breezy Point, 30898 Ranchette Dr., Breezy Point, in Pequot Lakes.
Voters unable to attend the precinct caucus on that date can participate in an online caucus at www.independenceminnesota.org through March 2.
Caucus attendees vote on convention delegates, local area resolutions, and the Independence Party of Minnesota platform. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a gubernatorial straw poll for candidates seeking the party’s endorsement.
