Michael is an adorable 8-year-old who seeks a permanent adoptive family. He enjoys coloring, riding his bicycle, playing with Legos and playgrounds. People say Michael is likable, curious and inquisitive.
Michael’s ideal family would love him unconditionally and have a strong commitment to adopt him. Although Michael has good days and is gradually improving the things he is working on, he faces obstacles that may seem challenging to inexperienced parents. Michael wants an adoptive family to understand them and help him overcome them after adoption.
Michael shows empathy for others, a gentle touch with some younger children and good responses to positive rewards. He does very well in school and really likes learning.
Hundreds of Minnesota Waiting Children just like Michael are waiting for loving, adoptive families. These children may be adopted at little to no cost to their adoptive family.
North Homes, Inc., in coordination with the Minnesota Adoption Resource Network, is offering free training for anyone interested in pursuing the Minnesota Waiting Children program. This two-day mandatory training is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30 in Grand Rapids.
Also offered will be Passenger Car Seat training from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29 and SIDS/SBS training from 8 to 9 a.m. Oct. 30. There is a $25 per participant fee for the car seat training and the SIDS/SBS training is free.
