The Koochiching Economic Development Authority is scheduled to discuss the origin of the fish used by Can-Am Fisheries at its meeting Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the Koochiching County Courthouse boardroom.
The issue was brought to the attention of the board members during the July meeting.
The KEDA Board is also scheduled to hear an update on the foreign trade zone by Dave Serrano, of Arro of the North. Serrano presented options for site development of the FTZ at the board’s July meeting.
The board is also scheduled to discuss its request for proposals for its legal representation. The board called for RFPs at its July meeting.
The board is also scheduled to meet with Bill Roefs, of Minnesota, Duluth and Winnipeg railroad.
The board is expected to hear a report from its treasurer and director and an update from the Small Business Development Center consultant. A public comment period is scheduled for the beginning of the meeting.
A meeting of the Koochiching Community Development Association is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in the Big Falls Community Building. The organization’s members are scheduled review the bylaws and the application process of the new organization.
