Locally, the following positions will be decided in the November election:

Koochiching County Board
• District 1 commissioner, now held by Wade Pavleck. Pavleck has held the position since 1993.

• District 2 commissioner, now held by Kevin Adee. Adee has held the position since 2003.

• District 4 commissioner, now held by Chuck Lepper. Lepper has held the position since 2003.

• Sheriff, now held by Brian Youso. Youso has held the position since 2007.

• Auditor/treasurer, now held by Bob Peterson. Peterson has held the position since 2003.

• Recorder, now held by Pam Rooney. Rooney has held the position since 1994.

• Attorney, now held by Phil Miller. Miller has held the position since 2007.

International Falls City Council
• East Ward councilor, now held by Paul Eklund. Eklund has held the position since 2005.

• Center Ward councilor, now held by Gail Rognerud. Rognerud has held the position since April 1985.

Ranier City Council
• Mayor, now held by Ed Oerichbauer. Oerichbauer has held the position since 2007.

• Council seat now held by Brenda Bauer. Bauer has held the position since 2005.

• Council seat now held by Fred Woods. Woods has held the position since 2007.

Littlefork City Council
• Mayor (two year term), now held by Shane Williams who has served in the position for two years and six months.

• Council seat (four year term) now held by Michael Fort, who in December 2009 was appointed to the remaining one-year term of Noel Schroeder, who resigned.

• Council seat (four-year term) now held by Kevin Sather, who in December 2009 was appointed the remaining one-year term of Glenn Weigold, who resigned.

Big Falls City Council
• Mayor, now held by Shawn Pritchard. Pritchard has held the position since 2007.

• Council seat now held by Scott Gates. Gates has held the position since 2003.

• Council seat now held by Laura Larson. Larson has held the position since 2007.

(City election filings open not more than 70 days but not less than 56 days before the election.)

School District 361
• Board position currently held by Darrell Wagner, who has served the Falls School Board since January of 1999 and will be completing his third, four-year term.

• Board position currently held by Roger Jerome. Jerome’s term began in January 2007.

• Board position currently held by Willi Kostiuk whose service began in January 2009. Kostiuk is finishing two years in a term made vacant by Amy Hardwig-Eberspacher, who resigned.

School District 362
There are no vacancies on the Littlefork-Big Falls School Board until 2012.

(Indus-Northome School Board)

• Board position now held by John Ungerecht. Ungerecht has served since 1974.

• Board position now held by Chrystal Lewis. Lewis has served since 2007.

• Board position now held by Dena Baldwin. Baldwin has served since 2007.
