Eloise “Lois” D. Braaten, 86, of Littlefork, Minn., died Tuesday evening, Dec. 8, 2009, at Littlefork Care Center, Littlefork.
Lois was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Wheaton, Minn. She grew up in Indus, Minn., and graduated from Indus High School. She then moved to Alma, Wis., and then to Littlefork in 1994.
Lois was a waitress and bar owner — owning Lois’s Country Place for 10 years.
She enjoyed fishing, loved the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed being on bowling leagues.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Jennie Olson; son, Darrell Braaten in 1968; two brothers, Elvin and Eldor Olson; and three sisters, Elfie Dobbs, Elna Olson and Elida Baxter.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Caren Panchot of Keizer, Ore.; grandchildren, Steven Darvel, Bernita Worthman and Tracey Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Ashlie, Alex, Grace and Abby; and great-great-grandson, Thomas.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Dec. 11, at the Green-Larsen Mortuary Chapel, International Falls.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
