Gene Howard White, “Ghost,” age 64, resident of Brainerd, Minn., went to ride free in heaven Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, after a long and courageous health battle.
Gene was born Nov. 20, 1944, in Bigfork, Minn., to Howard White and Grace Kinn.
He had a passion for life and loved his family and friends with all of his heart.
H
e enjoyed Harleys, hot rods, cribbage, pool, Twins baseball, and classic rock-and-roll music.
Our United States military always held a special place in his heart.
Gene’s greatest legacy will be his sense of humor and determination.
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Raymond, Verna and Leon.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Tammy (Mark) Lloyd of Brainerd and Tracy White of Cloquet, Minn.,; his “Little Angels on Earth” grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan and Andrea Lloyd of Brainerd; sister, June White of Grand Rapids; and many special friends.
A Celebration of Gene’s life is planned for 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
Visitation will be from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service.
Burial with military honors to be at a later date in Bigfork.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
