Louise Rose Gordon, 76, of International Falls, Minn., died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, Minn.
She was born July 4, 1932, at Border Mill, Rainy Lake, Fort Frances, Ontario, to Edward G. and Yvonne Belanger.
Louise graduated with the Class of 1950 and attended three years of nursing at St. Scholastica.
She was a homemaker; a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A member of St. Thomas Church, she enjoyed bowling, line dancing, and knitting mittens and socks for her family.
Her greatest pride was watching her grandchildren in their many sports activities.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne; father, Edward; mother- and father-in-law, Gladys and Robert Gordon; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Riley and Kathy Gordon.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James R. Gordon; three sons, Robert, Kevin (Kelly) and Todd; one daughter, Michele; three grandchildren, Ben, Jena and Sydney; and three sisters, Joellyn (Bob) Christensen, Elaine Bishop and Patty (Gordon) Bahr.
Funeral services are planned for St. Thomas Church, International Falls, with Fr. Mitch officiating.
