Terry Joseph Thramer, 54, of International Falls, Minn., died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Lakewood Health Center, Baudette, Minn.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Evangelical Covenant Church, International Falls, Minn., with the Rev. Eric W. Marx officiating.
A private burial of his cremains will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls, at a later date.
He was born Sept. 14, 1953 in Littlefork, Minn., the son of Leonard and Agnes “Dolly” L. (Darvell) Thramer.
He was raised and attended schools in International Falls, graduating from Falls High School in 1972. After graduation he attended one year of orderly training, and also attended taxidermy school. He then started work in the construction trades, which he continued doing for most of his life. He had worked for Kraus Anderson Construction for the last 12 years and was planning to retire this next year.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and rescuing animals. He raised goats, bears, pigs, mountain lions and other animals over the years. He had rescued many animals.
He died doing what he enjoyed the best, fishing on the Rainy River.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 49, and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of the Falls.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes “Dolly” Thramer of South International Falls; a twin brother, Larry Thramer of International Falls; three sisters, Trudy (Allan) Solo of International Falls, Lael Wegner of Salida, Colo., and Jill (Jim) Malone of International Falls; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Thramer in 1996; and a sister, Barbara Servis.
