Memorial service for Virginia Pavek will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Virginia passed away May 21, 2008.
Virginia Keyes Pavek, of Central Point, Ore., died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Bloom of Life Adult Foster Care Home. She was 94 years old.
The last member of a pioneering business family, Virginia Keyes was born to Frank H. and Mariam Keyes on Feb. 18, 1914.
Virginia grew up in International Falls, was a graduate of Falls High School, and attended Minnesota School of Business.
She married Hugh H. Pavek in 1943; they were married for 34 wonderful years, until the death of Hugh in 1977.
Virginia continued to reside in International Falls until 2006. She moved to Central Point, Ore., to live with her daughter, Janet Pavek Dunlap.
Virginia was a very dedicated Episcopalian.
She loved spending time on Rainy Lake, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed golf, playing bridge, spending time with friends, traveling, and fishing and hunting.
She was preceded in death by Frank H. Keyes, Mariam Keyes, Monty Keyes, Lewis Keyes, Renee Keyes Phaelen, and her daughter, Patti Lu Pavek Minton.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Pavek Dunlap and son Frank H. Pavek, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two step grandchildren.
Virginia’s remains will be returned home to Rainy Lake with a later memorial service.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Borderland Humane Society, the Food Shelf, and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
