Among students named to the Dean’s List at the University of North Dakota for the fall 2009 semester were Littlefork residents Becky Horne Dunn and Kayla Petersen, and Sannie Hasbargen, of Birchdale.

The UND Dean’s List includes students whose grade point average are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the university’s degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than satisfactory/unsatisfactory.

In addition to making the Dean’s List, Horne Dunn was also named to the fall 2009 D.J. Robertson List at UND.

The D.J. Robertson Academic Award is presented each fall and spring in recognition of academic excellence by freshman students. These students must achieve a 4.00 grade point average and have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours of traditionally graded coursework.

The award honors the late D.J. Robertson, the first dean of UND’s University College and a faculty member for 37 years. Robertson helped create University College in 1955 and served as its dean until retiring in 1978. He passed way in 1993.

She is the daughter of Bonnie Horne and Curtis Dunn.
