Mr. and Einar W. Korpi and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Woolsey request the honor of your presences at the marriage of their children, Patti Lyn Diann and Robin Joe, tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Open House in honor of the 40th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Anderson will be held on July 15, 2 to 5 p.m., at the South Falls Fire Hall.

Wallace Napper, Brown’s Corner, was repairing a caterpillar when it caught fire. The fire department did not need to assist because of the help from all the neighbors.
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Palm, Loman, will be honored on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary July 20. The open house will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Loman School.
Friends here have received word of the death of Maude Winger, who taught junior high school science in School District 361 for 13 years. Miss Winger joined the faculty here in 1942 and resigned June 1, 1955.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hilden will leave Tuesday morning on the 6 a.m. plane for Cape Kennedy, Fla., where they will witness the Apollo 11 launching Wednesday morning.

50 YEARS AGO
Mrs. Sophia Jossul, Fort Frances, announces the engagement of her daughter, Patricia Doreen Chornopski, to Bertrand Dandeneau, International Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dandeneau, Fort Frances.
An open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday to honor Sister Celeste, O.S.B., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Johnson, 1112 Eighth Ave. Sister Celeste, who is a former teacher at St. Thomas Parochial School, will receive her former students and old friends.
Mrs. Vern Hinote, 910 Ninth St., who was burned when a bolt of lightning struck the cabin in which she and six others were staying while on a camping trip, is much improved and was able to leave the Falls Memorial Hospital today.
Mrs. William Koski, 809 Sixth St., entertained at an afternoon coffee party to honor Mrs. George Masters and Mrs. Joe Kalar.

60 YEARS AGO
Mr. and Mrs. Livio Lucca, 1103 Second Ave., are parents of a daughter, Theresa Ann, born today in Littlefork Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
Burns received in a fire proved fatal yesterday to a South International Falls woman and her son. Mrs. Fred Foyt, 33, and son, Maynard, died in Falls Memorial Hospital where they were taken after being injured in a blaze that consumed their home.
Joyce Mardell Watson, 4-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Watson, Ericsburg, returned home from Littlefork Hospital, where she submitted to a tonsillectomy.
Mr. and Mrs. Clement Sabourin, 802 Sixth St., are parents of a son born yesterday in Littlefork Hospital. The infant, their first child, weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
