Eileen Nagurski entered a new phase of her life Friday. Nagurski, who spent the last 24 1/2 years as a social worker with Koochiching County Family Services, walked out of her office for the last time with a handful of mementos and a headful of memories.

David J. Ek, a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts, has joined Insulite as a wood technologist assigned to the manufacturing department.

Mrs. John Wenberg was honored at a stork shower in her home at 109 Park Avenue, Riverview.
Mrs. Florence Satterlee, who moved from Ranier eight years ago and now makes her home in Cedar Falls, Iowa, is visiting at the Hans Stensrud home, 623 11th Ave.
After 38 years with Mando, Howard N. Wheeler retired today. He has been payroll supervisor since 1945, having been in the payroll and cost department during his time with M & O.
The Melody Shop, formerly located at 426 Third St., this week moved to 339 Third St. Melody Shop proprietor is Mrs. Tense Shuff.

Charles Vadnais, 1116 13th Ave., submitted to an emergency appendectomy in Falls Memorial Hospital. He is reported to be resting comfortably.
International Falls motorists are paying a penny more for their gasoline. On July 1, the increased sales tax went into effect. In International Falls regular gasoline will sell for 31 1/2 cents a gallon and ethel for 33 1/2 cents a gallon.
Miss Margaret McGivney, who has spent six and a half years as a missionary in Ecuador, South America, arrived to visit with her mother, Mrs. Anna McGivney, Old Highway 11.
Mr. and Mrs. Chet Lind, South International Falls, are enjoying their vacation in California, according to a postcard mailed from Los Angeles. “Employment is good at some spots but I’ll take the Falls for my home,” wrote Lind.
