Marjorie Bruggeman of Walker, a registered nurse who is employed at Ah-Gwan-Ching Nursing Home there, is visiting with her brother, George Bruggeman and sister-in-law, Lucille Bruggeman and friends.
Darlene Stoiber has completed training as a Welcome Wagon hostess and will soon begin visiting households in the International Falls area.

Cheryl Lee Carrier, a striking 5-foot, 5-inch brunette, walked off with all the honors Thursday night as she was crowned Miss International Falls 1969.
Because the lead in the Rainy Lake Playhouse presentation of “The Lark,” Karen Turnquist, underwent an emergency appendectomy this morning, dates for the remainder of the Playhouse season have been changed.
Cadet Clyde A. Sandys, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Sandys, 1615 Fourth Ave. E., is one of 46 National Guardsmen and Army Reservists who have completed the Junior Cadet phase of the Minnesota Military Academy.
For the first time in a long time the two children of Mrs. John Edmundson, 514 Fifth Ave., visited at their parental home at the same time.

Mike Konle, Ray homesteader, died early Saturday evening at the Falls Memorial Hospital. Mr. Konle was the oldest citizen in Koochiching County and had celebrated his 98th birthday Feb. 28.
The home of Mrs. Lewis Reeve, 1104 10th St., was the scene of a family get-together on July 4 with 41 present.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Whitney, Island View Route, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner and reception at the home of their son, Arthur, Missoula, Mont.
Terence Kane Sheehy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sheehy, 849 Riverside Drive, is spending three weeks at his parental home following graduation from Don Bosco Juniorate, high school, at Haverstraw, N.Y. Terence ranked fourth scholastically in his class of 25.

William (Happy) Rauer, veteran Mando employee, had two reasons for celebrating July 4. It was of course Independence Day, and that’s why most people were celebrating. Rauer’s personal reason for considering it a special occasion is the fact that he was born July 4, 1884, and has been celebrating the day ever since.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fehrman, Island View Route, are parents of a son born today in Falls Memorial Hospital. The infant weighed 8 pounds.
Local friends of Dr. and Mrs. Olaf Neset, formerly of International Falls, learned this week that they have bought an 11-unit cabin camp in Spokane, Wash. A son, Gordon Neset, is associated with his father in the enterprise.
Miss Anna Mae Wietecha left Monday evening for Duluth to resume her nurse’s training at St. Mary’s Hospital.
