Gary S. Keyes, son of Mrs. Anne Keyes, Ericsburg, and the late Sylvester Keyes, has received a Ph.D. degree in high energy nuclear physics from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Melvin T. Bartholomew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Bartholomew of Ray, is on duty at Phan Rang Air Base, Vietnam.
William W. Cameron, son of Mrs. Helen Cameron of the Falls and the late Wallace Cameron, graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School recently.
Damage Controlman Fireman Apprentice Michael W. Sykes, U.S. Navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sykes Sr. of 1510 Second Ave. W., is serving at the Naval Supply Activity, DaNang, Vietnam.

50 YEARS AGO
A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anderson, South International Falls, 7 pounds, 5 ounces.
A daughter was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cobey, 606 Tenth St., 5 pounds, 8 1/4 ounces.
Stuart Johnson, former manager of the Penney store here, has resigned his position with the Montevideo store and has purchased a clothing store in Durango, Colo.
Dr. and Mrs. Richard Lueker, 938 Third St., entertained a group of friends at breakfast Sunday morning in their home. The Luekers will be leaving at the end of this week to make their home in San Manuel, a town 30 miles north of Tucson, Ariz. Dr. Lueker will be going into a clinic practice with five medical doctors.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Kalar, South International Falls, are parents of a daughter, Maxine Elaine, born today in Littlefork hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bortz, formerly of Loman, were pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening when 30 of their friends in the downriver community arrived for a housewarming party. The family recently moved into the former Glen LaBelle home at 400 Tenth St..
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Taylor of the Falls are parents of a son born this evening in Falls Memorial Hospital. The infant weighed 6 pounds, 6 1/2 ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson of the Falls are parents of a daughter born this morning in Falls Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.
