2nd Lieut. Tyler J. Kostiuk, the son of Willi and Kami Kostiuk and brother of Abby, recently completed the four-year ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) program at St. John’s University, Collegeville.

He was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the United States Army May 9 at a ceremony conducted at St. John’s University.

He will report for active duty Monday at Fort Sill, Okla., for a seven-week Basic Officer Leadership Course Phase II (BOLC).

From there he will finish his development program at BOLC III training at Fort Eustis, Va., Army Transportation School.

On Dec. 24, Lieut. Kostiuk will report to his station at Fort Bliss, Texas, with the 1st Cavalry Division of the U.S. Army.
