Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Report, Aug. 24.
CO Lloyd Steen (Ray/Kabetogama) patrolled area lakes checking fishermen and roads checking bear baiting activities. He continued an investigation on an individual fraudulently obtaining a permanent disability angling license and answered a myriad of questions pertaining to the fall hunting seasons.
CO Darrin Kittelson (International Falls) spent time on equipment repairs and administration tasks. A DNR Waters restoration order was followed-up on as well as wetland issues. CO Kittelson also handled a fish over limit complaint at the US Customs, Port of Entry in International Falls. Bear baiting is in full force as one full week comes to a close.
CO Troy Fondie (Orr) continued work on equipment upkeep projects. CO Fondie spent time on repairing watercraft. CO Fondie continued monitoring public access sites, angling, boating, ATV, and bear baiting activities. Questions from the public continue to be responded to.
