Investigate death: Members of the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Coroner’s Office are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Martin Selman, age 75, of Fort Frances.
Selman was discovered deceased in his residence in the early morning hours June 22. A post mortem examination was conducted at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fort Frances Detachment of the OPP.
Members of the North West Region Forensic Identification Unit and the North West Region Crime Unit are assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is continuing under the direction of the Coroner’s Office and further information will be released if it becomes available.

Plane damaged: A worker struck a plane Thursday owned by Donald Reinarz, Northome, while mowing grass at the Northome Airport. According to the report, damage was estimated at $10,000 to $30,000.
ATV injury: Benjamin L. Haines was transported by ambulance from the Biondich Road near Ray Friday after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding hydroplaned on water and left the road.

Property damage: Benjamin A. Svien, 5214 Crescent Dr., reported Friday that his vehicle was spray painted.
Property damage: Leroy V. Keeney, 2559 Town Road 281, reported Friday that his vehicle was damaged when it was keyed.

Grease fire: Firefighters responded to a grease fire in a pan at the Shelly and Josh Koenig residence, 901 Riverside Dr., at about 7:15 Thursday. No damage to the house was reported.
