International Falls Police Department
Property damage: A vehicle owned by Daniel C. Doherty, International Falls, crashed into garage at 615 Ninth Ave. owned by Michael Fox June 15. The collision occurred after the owner attempted, but failed to put the vehicle into park and left the vehicle. According to the report, damage exceeded $1,000.
Collision: Vehicles driven by Aaron L. Mortenson, 33, 2107 11th Ave. W., and Tyler Morin, 18, 3121 County Road 2 South, collided June 16 on 11th Street causing more than $1,000 damage.

Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office
Dead dog: Richard Koeneman reported June 1 that he had found a dead dog that appeared to have been shot at the Happyland gravel pit on County Road 77. According to the report, the property is posted for trespassing.
Scam alert: Sheriff Brian Youso reminds area residents to take care with their personal information, such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers and Social Security numbers. In a recent nation-wide identity theft scam, callers try to get personal information under the guides of missed jury duty. Minnesota court staff will never ask prospective jurors for financial information. Contact the Koochiching County Court Administrator for information about jury services.
