International Falls Police Department
Assault: Jennifer J. Herrly, 313 13th St., reported Friday that she was assaulted outside of her residence. She was transported to Falls Memorial Hospital.
Personal injury accident: A vehicle driven by Amara J. Tomevi, 18, 316 20th St. E., struck a vehicle driven by Edith Sandstrom, 83, 901 Second St., Friday at the intersection of Third Street and Ninth Avenue, causing more than $1,000 in damages. Passenger Leslie C. Olson, 60, reported an injury.

St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office
Fire: A structure fire was reported at a water access only island property on Susan Lake, northeast of Cook.
An explosion occurred at the cabin due to a broken propane gas line leading into the cabin. The cabin was a total loss.
Walter T. Lund, of Cook, was staying at the cabin and suffered burns due to the explosion and fire. He was transported by a citizen to the Cook Hospital and then transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
