Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office
Theft: A 38-year-old female was arrested after Stephanie M. Knaak, 4432 County Road 91, reported on June 6 that two rings, valued at more than $10,000, and a credit card had been taken from her residence.
Theft: Timothy C. Olson reported Sunday that items valued at more than $500 had been taken from his boat and cabin, 1650 County Road 28, Birchdale.
International Falls Fire Department
Smoke: A tractor trailer short circuited and overheated in the Domino’s Pizza parking lot Thursday afternoon. Firefighters responded at 2:46 p.m. to find smoke coming from the trailer, but no fire.
St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office
Fatal rollover: A vehicle driven by Lane Zentgraf, 32, Duluth, overturned on the 5900 block of Lavaque Road, Freden Township. He was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is believed to be a factor, according to a sheriff’s office report. Officers responded at 12:38 a.m. Sunday. Zentgraf was pronounced dead at the scene.
Terroristic threats: A Lake Country Power employee entered the residence of Richard L. Kmett, Sandy Township, seven miles northeast of Virginia, to discuss official business. Kmett confronted the employee while holding a shotgun and demanded the employee leave the property, according to a sheriff’s office report. The employee left the property immediately and called law enforcement officers for assistance. Deputies located Kmett at the property and Kmett confronted deputies in the yard with a shotgun, according to the report. Kmett was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
