School Board to fill vacant position

The Falls School Board is expected to fill a school board vacancy by appointment during its meeting at 5 p.m. Monday in the Falls High School cafeteria.
Candidates for the position are Karen Bates, Roberta Ingvaldson, Stuart Nordquist, Michelle Hebner and Willi Kostiuk. The position was left vacant with the resignation of Amy Hardwig-Eberspacher.
The appointed board member will serve until January and the position will be open for the November election.
The board is also scheduled to receive a recommendation from FHS administration regarding an open lunch policy. Students had requested an open lunch earlier in the school year.
The board is scheduled to be updated on a spring 2009 baseball project.
Reports will also be heard from FHS Principal Tim Everson, Falls Elementary Principal Jerry Hilfer and Superintendent Don Langan.
An open forum is also scheduled.
