The 4th annual Loman Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning was won by Tyler Lehman and Maddie Heinrich.
The fun run takes place near Loman on a scenic country road along Rainy River and Black River.
Lehman was the top male runner with a time of 20 minutes, 18 seconds, while Heinrich crossed in 22:30. Heinrich also win in 2007.
Ninety-five participants, who had a choice to walk or run, completed the Trot.
The money collected from registration fees is split three ways with 1/3 going to local charities.
The male and female winners also get to choose where 1/3 of the prize money is donated. The money must benefit a youth organization.
Lehman, a two-way football player this fall for Littlefork-Big Falls, fittingly designated the Vikings football team to receive the prize. Heinrich, from Baudette, chose the Lake of the Woods cross country team.
The final 1/3 of the registration fees was awarded by a random drawing. The winner was L-BF junior Rachael VanDrunen, who donated it to the Littlefork-Big Falls girls basketball team.
In addition, roughly 50 pounds of nonperishable food items and $60 was collected for the local food shelf.
The Trot, which had only 10 participants in its first year, also had signs along the route listing what many of the participants were thankful for.
