Basketball: Cook takes care of Littlefork-Big Falls

Littlefork-Big Falls was no match Thursday for Cook in a 73-37 loss in girls basketball action.

Eighth-grader Darby Youngstrom scored a game-high 24 points and junior Emily Youngstrom added 16 points for the Little Gophers (1-0), playing in their home and season opener.

The Vikings (0-2) got 13 points and 21 rebounds from Kari Imhof, while Haylee Gates also scored 13 points.

The Vikings return to action Monday at Bigfork, who improved to 2-0 Thursday with a convincing 86-47 victory over Tower-Soudan. The Huskies crushed Cotton 78-20 in their opener.
